The Department of Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning, and Urban Development is at the forefront of creating well-planned and sustainable urban environments across Kilifi County. Our urban planning services involve the strategic design and organization of land use, infrastructure, and public amenities to accommodate the growing population and enhance the quality of life for residents. We develop and implement Part Development Plans (PDPs) that guide the orderly growth of urban areas, ensuring that residential, commercial, and industrial zones are appropriately designated and developed.
We also focus on improving infrastructure such as roads, drainage systems, and public spaces, making our urban areas more accessible and conducive for business and daily life. Public utilities, including water, electricity, and waste management systems, are integral components of our planning efforts, ensuring that all urban areas are well-equipped to meet the needs of their inhabitants.
