KISIP2 Platform Inspection

Company
Small works set to benefit residents of urban Informal Settlements of Kilifi County
Eng. Christine Achieng, leading the KISIP National Project Coordination Team, along with members from the KISIP County Project Coordination Team led by Project Engineer Eng. Julius Kiplimo, conducted a routine site inspection in Muyeye and Kibokoni in Malindi Sub-County, as well as the urban informal settlements of Kalolo, Kibaoni, Baya Magonzi, and Kisumu Ndogo in Kilifi Township within Kilifi County. The inspection was to assess the locations for the installation of vending platforms that are yet to be set up in these areas.
The aim of the inspection was to ensure that the placement of the vending platforms is strategic, directly benefiting the residents of the informal settlements. It is crucial that the vending platforms are operational, secure, and compliant with the approved design. Once completed, these vending platforms will support the local economy by providing a suitable working environment for approximately 150 traders in the area.
The funding for the Second Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Project (KISIP2) comes from the World Bank and AFD, benefiting the designated Counties.
