The County’s KISIP Team, led by County Coordinator Mr. David Ngombo in the Department of Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, along with the MAWASCO Team led by Managing Director Mr. Felix Kaingu, met with members of the Muyeye 1 Community to introduce the contractor responsible for constructing 250 household on-site sanitation facilities in the area as part of the Second Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Project (KISIP 2).
Radius Circle Limited has been appointed as the contractor for this infrastructure project in Muyeye 1, Malindi sub-county. The KISIP 2 project aims to upgrade informal settlements in the County by providing proper sanitation facilities to prevent the spread of infections.
Representatives from the SEC and GRC committees of Muyeye 2 Settlements voiced their support for the project during the meeting, emphasizing the importance of high-quality work from the contractor. Residents of Muyeye 1 have also requested that the contractor involve them in manual labor tasks, creating job opportunities and allowing residents to earn income from the construction project.
