The Department’s vision is to be a leading, prosperous and secure County for high quality life but Kilifi County has been grappling with critical land issues of land tenure, inadequate access to Energy and Housing and unplanned towns and areas. Therefore, in its effort to achieve the County vision, the Lands, Energy and Physical Planning unit has prioritized the registration and adjudication of community land schemes in a bid to accelerate the rights to legal ownership of land for socio-economic advancement.

The Energy unit has tremendously enhanced security and provided an enabling environment for 24hour economy in some strategic trading centers by lighting up the county.
