A stakeholder meeting was held by the County Government for the Mabirikani squatters upgrading scheme, which included surveyors, planners, NLC representatives, Sokoni Ward Administrator, and the Mabirikani Residence Committee. The purpose of the meeting was to validate the completed survey plan for Mabirikani, which had experienced delays in its completion.
During the meeting, it was noted by the team that certain plots were missing from the existing Part Development Plan (PDP), access roads were closed off hindering movement within the community, and public utilities were not properly identified in the current plan.
The team recommended revising the PDP to correct these oversights in order to improve the quality of life for the residents of Mabirikani.
