The residents of Mtakatieni area in Ganda ward have reasons to be happy as surveyors and a contractor have arrived to begin ground work, surveying, and compiling a list of residents in the area. Ganda ward MCA Hon. Oscar Wanje has informed residents that a budget of 2.5 million has been allocated for these tasks and has committed to covering the cost of beaconing once the process begins.
Through these processes, the residents of Mtakatieni area will be able to rightfully acquire their land by obtaining Title deeds.
This initiative is part of Governor Gideon Mung’aro’s efforts, under the Department of Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, to eliminate the issue of squatters in Kilifi County.
