Ms. Jackbed Njangu, the Coast Regional Manager for the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), led a team in a courtesy visit to Hon. Jane Kamto, the CECM of Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development. The purpose was to introduce the contractors responsible for constructing the Weru electricity substation that will serve Galana Kulalu Ranch.
The construction of the substation will be divided into four Lots, each to be undertaken by a different contractor: Fast Conveyors Suppliers, Big Sky Solutions, Bright Rays International, and All-Day Technologies Limited. The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
Hon. Jane Kamto emphasized the importance of close collaboration between REREC, the contractors, the local community, and Energy Officers to ensure timely delivery of the project.
